It's the Dash That Matters
Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for all of your support and love over the course of the last week. Please use this blog to post memoires, stories, thoughts and reflections of Reef. He is at peace.

  1. Dear Jennifer,
I am an old college friend of your mother's. Reef sounded like a true blessing to your family.
I am amazed how much you, your mother, and Reef resemble each other!
    My love and prayers,
    Susie Wolfrom

  2. Every morning as I stare out my kitchen window, I am greeted by the biggest and brightest star twinkling in the sky. I know you are smiling down upon us Reef.
    I miss you so much!
    Love,
    Uncle Jim

  3. Dearest Jennifer,
What a beautiful memorial service. You were poised and an inspiration as you spoke of your beautiful Reef.
What I take with me are your words to take more time... with everything in life and in the words of your brother, to never see a firework show the same way again. Jimmy moved me to the core when he spoke of the hope of waiting for one last sparkle... I will never see another firework display and not think of Reef at the end of it.
I hope I can walk beside you during this difficult time and bring you some moments of peace.
    I love you so much!!
    Anna

  5. It was an honor to have met Reef and see the love that his family has for him. May he inspire us all now and forever with his beautiful eyes, loving smile and his outlook on life.

  6. Today I read the wonderful article in The OC Register about Reef's friend Daniel Curtis. Daniel's effort to raise funds for Reef memorial benches and plaques, in order to keep Reef’s memory alive, is heartwarming. It choked me up to think of his Daniel's loss but then I remembered what Jennifer said at the memorial. She said she believes things happen for a reason and it made me smile. Daniel's love for Reef is bringing people together. What wonderful lessons these two young boys are teaching us! Love, Susan M

  7. Jen,
You have done a wonderful job putting together this site. You continue to amaze me with your strength, courage, poise and love for Reef. You and Reef have taught us all to enjoy every moment, even the "simple things in life". "To not take one minute for granted," as we never know how long or short aour days on earth will be. Even though it was brief, I feel so fortunate to have met Reef and spent time with him- he was an amazing little boy whom has taught us many lessons about life. I love you and think of you and Reef daily! I can't wait to spend more time with you in January.
    Love Always, Ashleigh :)

  13. Daniel still has your picture up in his room Reef. He is and always will be your best friend. His thoughts must be of your good times together because he often cleans the shelf where your picture still resides. Peace be unto you forever Reef. Daniel's dad
